Eventhough the dimensions are stated in the product description section I was surprised to see the plate to be so wide, 6 inches in diameter, compared to other kid plates out there. The ring definitely helps the kid scoop food but there is so much room to maneuver the spoon around that the spoon sometimes does not need to reach the edge before it is filled with food/soup. My toddler is almost 2 and has been self feeding for 6 months and when using small bowls and plates food always kept spilling to the sides. Also a thumbs up to the easy to open packaging. Oxo design on this plate is a winner!

This bowl is great. The weighted bottom keeps it from sliding all over the high chair tray and the rim helps him get the food into the spoon. I was nervous because another review said it wasn't microwave safe, but I read the packaging it said it is. Perfect!
