1)1st off all 3GB RAM 1.1GB goes to your operating system only.
2)5400 RPM is one of the slowest HD-s
3)not even 256mb videocard
3)2 stars because this piece of equipment is really outdated, and not good for anything rather then:
a) word processing
b) powerpoint presentations ( but it will lab at moments)
c) reading adobe pdf files ( will have nice lag when you scroll - very uncomfortabe)
d) run only old games and no HD video or CPU will go to 100% and ram to 60-70%
good side: its cheap (500$)

Good perfomance the color is nice the keyboard with numpad is cool. A bad issue is the poor battery life only 2 hours without power AC. Big nice screen and fast processor. I recomend it.

I bought the Acer laptop in Dec for my son. As of July I have replaced 4 hard drives and the problem is still not fixed. This machine is a total waste of time and money. I have given up trying to fix the problem and will never buy Acer again. With the amount of time and money I spent on this computer, I could have purchased a top of the line computer and at least had something that worked for more that a month without crashing! Junk...absolute piece of junk!
